BSC (BNB Smart Chain) is Binance's EVM chain. Among the protocols PerpFinder tracks, ApeX Omni supports BSC access, and StandX lists BNB Chain as one of its deployments. Check each venue page because access, collateral, and settlement paths differ.

The BSC position in perp trading

BSC was a major DeFi venue from 2021 to 2023 when Ethereum gas costs made L1 trading prohibitively expensive for smaller traders. That use case evaporated when Arbitrum, Optimism, and later Base brought Ethereum-secured settlement at comparable gas costs. BSC's main perp activity today flows through PancakeSwap's perpetuals product and Venus-adjacent integrations, neither of which is in PerpFinder's tracked set.

DefiLlama's BSC chain page shows the chain's total TVL around $5-6 billion, with a meaningful portion in lending and AMM liquidity rather than perp DEX TVL specifically.

How tracked venues use BSC

BSC transactions cost roughly $0.05-$0.20, comparable to Ethereum L2s. Block time is 3 seconds with a 21-validator proof-of-stake set. That validator concentration is a known trust assumption: L2Beat does not rate BSC as an L2 because it is a sidechain, not a rollup, meaning it does not inherit Ethereum security guarantees.

For perp traders specifically, the lack of a major perp DEX native to BSC means traders seeking on-chain perps with strong liquidity are better served by Arbitrum, Base, or Hyperliquid.
