What this means for EU users
Binance filed a CASP application with Greece’s Hellenic Capital Market Commission in January 2026 via a local entity, then withdrew it on June 24, 2026 — days before the MiCA transition deadline. The company says it intends to apply again in another EU member state, with France reported as the likely venue.
For EU/EEA users this means the world’s largest exchange can no longer legally offer regulated crypto services in the bloc. Existing users keep withdrawal access, but trading and deposits for EEA residents stopped on July 1, 2026.
