WEEX has operated since 2018 from a Singapore base and holds a US Money Services Business (MSB) registration with FinCEN. An MSB listing is a US anti-money-laundering registration — not EU authorization — and WEEX has no MiCA CASP licence and does not appear in the ESMA register. It advertises a 1,000 BTC protection fund and reports no exchange-level incident affecting user funds.
For EU/EEA users this means WEEX has no EU-authorized entity: after July 1, 2026 it cannot legally solicit or onboard EEA retail customers, and anyone trading there does so under offshore terms without EU custody, complaint or prudential protections.
