Robinhood perps: fees, leverage and how they work
Robinhood offers perpetual futures (perps) to customers in the EU through Robinhood Europe, UAB, which the Bank of Lithuania regulates. Orders trade on a multilateral trading facility (MTF) that Bitstamp operates. The fee is 0.02% for Robinhood plus a venue fee of 0.02% taker or 0% maker. PerpFinder found no brokerage perps for US customers.

What the product is
Robinhood EU perps are linear perpetual futures settled in USD, with no expiration. Profit and loss settle every 15 minutes.

Launch date and status
On June 30, 2025, Robinhood announced crypto perps in the EU with up to 3x leverage. The orders route to the Bitstamp perpetual futures exchange.

Where the orders fill and clear
The perps trade on the venue that Bitstamp, finančne storitve, d.o.o. operates. The key information document calls this venue an MTF under MiFID II.

Regulator status
Robinhood Europe, UAB is authorized and regulated by the Bank of Lithuania as a financial brokerage firm and a crypto-asset service provider.

Robinhood charges a 0.02% maker or taker fee. The venue adds a flat fee of 0% for makers and 0.02% for takers.

Leverage and margin
BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP and most other crypto contracts permit up to 10x. EURUSD and QQQ also permit 10x.

Gold, silver, WTI, Brent and EWY permit up to 5x. The cap falls as the notional position size increases.

The contract list has 20 perps: BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, DOGE, SUI, ADA, AVAX, LINK, HYPE, TAO, ASTER and PAXG, plus QQQ, EWY, gold, silver, WTI, Brent and EURUSD.

Measured cost
The PerpFinder cost engine does not read the Bitstamp perps book that Robinhood orders trade on, so no measured spread or price impact exists.

Leverage increases losses as well as gains. A small price move against a leveraged position can cause liquidation and the loss of the margin.
