Hyperliquid Referral Code AWD — 4% Off Fees

Hyperliquid is the largest perp DEX by open interest, and by a wide margin — by DefiLlama-tracked volume it routinely clears more than the next several decentralized perp venues combined. Code AWD knocks 4% off your fees for the first $25 million you trade. That is the entire pitch, and it is worth unpacking the math before anything else.

The 4% discount in real dollar terms

Hyperliquid's Tier 0 taker fee (under $5M 14-day volume) is 0.045% (4.5 basis points). Code AWD takes that to 0.0432%. Four percent sounds like a rounding error. The cumulative picture is different.

At $100,000 in daily volume: $1.80 saved per day, $54 per month. At $500,000 daily: $270 per month. At $1 million daily: $540 per month. These are taker-fee figures. If you post limit orders and fill as a maker, your base fee is 0.015% — and the 4% comes off that already-low rate. High enough maker volume eventually crosses into rebate territory, where Hyperliquid pays you per trade. The AWD discount stacks on that path too.

Entering the code — one-time, permanent, no exceptions

The code must be set before your first trade. It is permanent once applied — you cannot change or remove it later. Selecting the referral link sets AWD automatically at signup. If you prefer, visit the Referrals page after account creation and enter AWD manually before placing any order.

One edge case: vault deposits and sub-accounts are treated as separate entities by Hyperliquid. The AWD discount does not apply to those, and they do not count toward your $25M cap.

AWD vs other perp DEX referral discounts

ApeX Omni offers 20% off — a bigger percentage. ApeX's base taker fee is 0.05%, so 20% yields 0.04% effective. Hyperliquid after AWD: 0.0432%. On the headline taker rate, ApeX lands slightly lower after both discounts. Hyperliquid's gasless execution and deeper books offset that 0.32 basis point gap in practice.

GMX offers 10% off 0.04-0.06% per open/close, landing at 0.036-0.054%. More expensive per trade.
