edgeX Referral Code: EDGE Staking & Fee Guide

The edgeX referral link, with code UNDEFINED, adds a new account to the edgeX referral program. The code does not lower your own fee. Its value is access to referral commissions of up to 30% on the fees of users that you refer later.

What the UNDEFINED code does after the EDGE launch

UNDEFINED is a real edgeX code, and the edgeX code API lists it. Open the referral link and connect your wallet. edgeX records the referral at the first connection, so do this before your first deposit or trade.

edgeX ended its pre-launch points program at the EDGE genesis distribution on March 31, 2026. EDGE has a total supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens. Points no longer accrue. The current programs are EDGE staking, exchange competitions and referral commissions. The edgeX terms control all three programs, and edgeX can change them.

Fees on edgeX with the referral link

The referral link does not change the fee rate. The edgeX VIP table lists level 0 at 0.040% maker and 0.045% taker. The V2 market data lists the same level 0 rates for all 179 contracts. Our registry holds only the level 0 row, so check the VIP table if your volume is high.

The maker fee on edgeX is close to the taker fee. A limit order saves little compared with a market order. On a $10,000 fill, the maker fee is $4 and the taker fee is $4.50.

Funding settles every 4 hours, for example at 00:00, 04:00 and 08:00 UTC. The docs funding page still says every hour, but the API records settle 4 hours apart. Leverage goes up to 100x.

Eligibility and custody before you sign up

The edgeX terms block persons in the United States and Canada. Iran, Cuba, North Korea, Syria, Myanmar, Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk are also blocked. The terms do not mention KYC.

edgeX V2 runs on its own rollup on the Arbitrum technology stack, anchored to Ethereum. The funds sit in self-custody contracts, and each asset movement needs your key signature. The V2 page claims withdrawals that bypass the operator, but it gives no mechanism or time limit.

RigSec, SlowMist and PeckShield wrote the three listed audits. All three reports cover V1 or StarkEx code. No listed audit covers the V2 rollup contracts. The Arbitrum stack is a temporary part of the design and can change.
