Basis vs index, per venue
Basis vs index · BTC
UTC daily median-4.06 bpsBinance mark price against its own index price, in basis points. Positive means the perp traded above the index that day. Window starts 2026-08-11 · sweeps stored since 2026-07-16 · preliminary series.
Median of 2,752 stored sweeps over the 30 days shown. 24 of 27 covered venues publish a mark price but no index price, so their basis is not computable and is left out — never shown as zero.
Basis vs index · ETH
UTC daily median-3.88 bpsBinance mark price against its own index price, in basis points. Positive means the perp traded above the index that day. Window starts 2026-08-11 · sweeps stored since 2026-07-16 · preliminary series.
Median of 2,753 stored sweeps over the 30 days shown. 24 of 27 covered venues publish a mark price but no index price, so their basis is not computable and is left out — never shown as zero.
Basis is stored on every venue row of every sweep, but it needs both a mark price and an index price. Venues that publish only a mark price are absent from this chart rather than shown at zero. The daily point is the median of that day's sweeps; a day with no sweep leaves a break in the line.
How this series is built
PerpFinder snapshots BTC/ETH funding every 15 minutes and records realized settlements as they occur — building the per-venue series, cross-venue median, OI-weighted rate, dispersion, cumulative realized funding and predicted-vs-realized accuracy that will render here. Charts unlock when the series is established (≥7 days with sufficient coverage); a two-point “trend” would mislead more than it informs. History begins at our first observed datapoint — no synthetic backfill, ever. Method: methodology.
