Perp fee formula
A maker order adds liquidity to the order book. A taker order fills against the book at once. Most venues charge a lower rate for maker orders, and some pay a rebate.
Monthly fee = volume × (maker share × maker rate + taker share × taker rate)
One basis point (bps) is 0.01%. A 5 bps taker rate costs $500 on $1,000,000 of volume. The calculator finds the tier for your volume on the published ladder of each venue. Venues with a 14-day ladder use 14/30 of the monthly volume.
The rates come from the PerpFinder fee registry. The Source column links the fee page of each venue and the date of the last check. The calculator checks only the volume threshold. Some tiers also need token holdings or other conditions. Turn on Base tier only if your account does not meet them. Referral discounts are not applied. The VIP fee calculator shows them.
The trading fee is one part of the cost. The cheapest perp exchanges ranking adds the spread and price impact measured on each order book. The live cost comparison prices your own order size.
